The Cloisters Museum

The Cloisters is connected to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but is located as far north as you can possibly go and still be in Manhatten.  We took a subway there and then looked around " The Heights".... We were not sure what we were doing... but we did find a good restaurant for lunch... they only spoke Spanish ( except for 1 young lady who helped us out)  We really needed Joanna with us.  The food was yummy and we were able to find our way to the bus stop to get us back to the museum.

The music was also good and over the lunch counter they had a TV tuned to a hispanic station.  Very interesting lunch.....

Since most of the gallery space is filled with Medieval Art, I think both John and I preferred the outdoor areas which were beautiful.  There were gardens on both sides of the building.

We walked back to the subway stop through Fort Tryon Park.  On the edges we were seeing the George  Washington Bridge from the northern side.  I've tried to take photos of the bridge two different times now it is so foggy that we can't really get a good photo yet.
